Moreen needs surgery
Fifteen years old, and two thousand dollars stands in the way.
Moreen is fifteen. She has fibroadenoma breast tumors, and the pain of them does not let up, not in the day and not at night. She has stopped eating. She has gone quiet in the way a girl goes quiet when something has been hurting for a long time and nobody has been able to stop it.
Surgery takes the tumors out. The operation and the care she needs afterward come to $2,000 altogether. That is the whole of what is needed.
Every gift made here is tagged to Moreen by name and goes to her surgery and her after-care, through Desire Child Care Organization.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. If the amount raised passes what the surgery costs, the remainder stays with Desire Child Care Organization for the medical care of another child.

The Goloba Amazzi Fund
2011 to 2023
Goloba was attacked and killed by wild lions while returning home from fetching water miles away. Clean water is an essential human right. No child should have to risk their life for it.
Amazzi means water. In Goloba’s honor, $35 buys 200 litres, about 53 gallons, of clean drinking water. Enough for all 33 children for a whole month. Since this campaign began, typhoid has been eliminated in the family.

A single one-time gift, in any amount, directed wherever the need is greatest at the organization's discretion: medical support, the land campaign, birthday gifts, clean water, or other expenses.
Desire Land Fund
Desire Child Care Organization will purchase farmland to build on, to provide a safe home for underserved children, from early childhood to adulthood.
Through agriculture, we will be able to achieve full self-sufficiency and build a year-round residential school, providing our current and future Desire Kids with a well-rounded, independent arts-based education in the heart of nature.
